Inside Collections - features

I'm not sure how many homes and properties I've edited, but I suspect the number is in the thousands. Editing is one of my favorite parts of the DSLR photography process and it's also one of my greatest strengths. My photos are consistent, and I ensure that my exposure and white balance is as accurate as possible, even with shifting color temperatures, bouncing light and mixed lighting. I am fast and accurate and understand different photo techniques and the post-processing required for each. I work mainly in Lightroom and in Photoshop.

Inside Collections - Features

duPont REGISTRY - Feature - Huntsman Estate

This home, at least when I edited it, was the most expensive in Utah, listed at 49.5 million. As of May 2014 the price has been reduced to 34 million. It's now a buyer's market in Summit County, Utah.

Summer 2014 - Collections Magazine - Front Cover

This house is just insane. It looks like a hotel and gives meaning to 'Luxury Real Estate.' Much more of the home can be seen in in my Architectural folder of work. It was great fun to edit. The pool is insane!

This is another example of not knowing where some of my editing has been used. This is the same home from Collections Summer 2014. I stumbled upon this ad in Starbucks in Park City :) I was happy to see it in print for the upcoming Park City Luxury Home Tour.

RubySnap Cookies Wedding Feature

This is Meili, a model who is actually wearing my wedding dress in this photo. :) This was a mock bridal shoot that I did back in 2010. I wanted to show what I could do with a creative bridal shoot, and Meili rocked it. This shoot alone has brought me so much work. When this was posted, I already knew Meili was going to be the 'Pinup' girl for September 2011 for RubySnap Cookies so I was excited about this.

If you don't know what RubySnap Cookies are, click look them up in downtown Salt Lake City and drop by to sample some of Tami's amazing cookies. Beware though - it may be your first visit, but it won't be your last.

Utah Music Association - Concert

Utah Music Association Concert. So much fun. I loved being close to all the performers. Ryan Innes hadn't yet been on The Voice, but he still blew everyone, I mean everyone away.

Concerts - Kaskade at Park City Live

I love shooting concerts. I've been lucky; I've been able to watch musicians perform and to get close enough to capture the emotion that they feel when they are performing. That energy is literally tangible - it catches, like a fire. A good live performer with an excited crowd creates something amazing - you can feel it in the air, like flying down a mountain on skiis, or riding the biggest, craziest roller coaster in the park. The music, the performance, the feeling that the performer shares with the crowd and the feeling that the crowd gives back to the performer, that back and forth communication and emotion is indescribable. Shooting in the dark isn't easy; add in a moving target and constantly changing light, and you have yourself a challenge, but I love taking on that challenge. Moments live forever in pictures, and I am part of catching those moments, and I love it.

Engagements

I love engagements. I love how they tell the story of a couple, of their personality, their interaction with one another, their style. This is the time when I really get to bond with my couples, when we are able to get comfortable, so that when the wedding day comes - we are relaxed and good to go!

Bridals

Bridals (or formals) are not only beautiful, they are a very smart decision. One couple on this page is so glad they did pre-wedding formals - since their wedding day at the same venue was beautiful, but incredibly rainy - we would never have been able to get the shots we got during their formal session, due to weather alone.

Bridals/Formals also a great way of getting those shots you may not have a lot of time for on your wedding day when things are crazy and super busy. I recommend them to anyone getting married. It may seem like a lot of work to get dressed up twice - but trust me, in the end, nobody regrets having done these sessions!

Portraits

I began my journey into photography by starting with portraits, and I still love doing them. I respect the intimacy of portraits; I realize that for most people it's not easy to have a camera pointing at their face. I am sensitive to that and I concentrate on helping my clients to relax - our goal is to have fun and to forget that the camera is there. Over the years, I have captured smiles, laughter, soft looks, sultry looks, gentle looks and tender looks. It's a special thing to be allowed into someone's personal space, and I treat that gift with respect.
